A shot of Halloween spirit brings a fun twist to the 28th Annual Auction & Taste of the North Shore, coming October 30 to the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel. The annual fundraiser for the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce features a varied array of tastes from local eateries, along with auction items, games, and a raffle drawing with a $500 grand prize. Guests have the option to wear Halloween costumes as they enjoy the festive decorations with the theme “Eat, Drink & Be Scary!”
“This annual event is always a great showcase for local restaurants and caterers,” notes Kathi Quinn, Chamber Executive Director. “Everyone enjoys exploring all the different options and meeting our foodie community. Wearing costumes is optional – but having a good time is mandatory!”
Event co-chairs Jacqueline “J.J.” Hart, Allstate and Julie Lerman, Franklin Greenswag Channon & Capilla LLC, echo the enthusiasm. “We have exciting auction items, a Heads & Tails game, a raffle drawing, and even a costume contest. It’s going to be a fun night to connect with friends, clients and co-workers too,” shares J.J.
Open to the general public as well as Chamber members, the Auction & Taste attracts business professionals, community leaders, and foodies from Northbrook and beyond. Admission includes tastings from 19 food stations, drinks, giveaways and photo booths.
Participating eateries include: Allgauer’s on the Riverfront, The Claim Company, Culver’s of Northbrook, Gail’s Brownies, Grill House, Maharaj Indian Grill, Max and Benny’s, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Napolita Pizzeria & Wine Bar, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Pear Tree – Hel’s Kitchen Catering, Protein Bar + Kitchen, Renaissance Chicago North Shore, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Sarpino’s Pizzeria, Sunset Foods, Sweetgreen, Sweet Ride Chicago, and West Town Bakery.
The evening also offers a silent auction with dozens of items donated by local businesses, including restaurant gift cards, hotel stays, jewelry, business services, and more. Try your luck in a Heads or Tails game with a prize of $250, and or in a $500 grand prize raffle drawing. Embrace the Halloween spirit and you might take home a prize as the winner of our costume contest!”
Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door. Advance registration is available on the Northbrook Chamber website or by calling (847) 498-5555. Raffle tickets are also available for purchase; ticket holders do not need to be present at the event to win.
