Develop leadership potential and inspire civic engagement with the 2026-27 Leadership Northbrook class. This eight-session monthly program brings together emerging and established leaders from the public and private sectors for behind-the-scenes experiences, informative presentations, and fresh insights into Northbrook’s most influential organizations.

For more than 30 years, Leadership Northbrook has connected participants with the businesses and agencies that make Northbrook a great place to live and work. Meeting one morning each month from September through April, the class explores the inner workings of Village government, public safety, education, and other key community services.

Participants also gain an insider’s perspective on the local business environment through exclusive tours of leading companies, including manufacturers, innovators, and major employers. Businesses in previous years have included Bernhard Woodwork, Wiss Janney Elstner Associates, and more

Lee Brooks, Chief Operating Officer for Bell Flavors & Fragrances Inc., was one of three Bell executives to participate in the 2025-26 Leadership class. "Bell has hosted site visits for Leadership over the last several years, so we were familiar with the goals of the program," notes Lee, who also serves on the Chamber's Board of Directors. "We wanted to extend our company's involvement by having representatives participate as class members. Engaging with the local schools, services and businesses generated new ideas for ways our company can connect to the community."

Applications are now being accepted for the 2026-27 Leadership Northbrook class and will be reviewed and selected on a rolling basis until the class is filled. The program fee is $350 for Chamber members and $500 for non-members which includes all class materials, activities, and experiences. One sponsorship, available for $1000, includes brand recognition on the program’s digital and print materials.

Application forms can be downloaded on the Chamber website.  For more information, contact the Chamber.
